Today we traveled from Esponellà in Spain to Elen in France (84 km). On the way, we visited Cerbère, the first city in France. When I traveled back from Spain about 45 years ago, I spent a night in the waiting room of the train
station in this city. All trains from Spain stop here because the Spanish train system uses wider tracks as the rest of Europe. In the waiting room, I saw a guy I thought I know him, but I was not brave enough to talk to him. Two days later at home, I found
out it was Thomas the little brother of Stefan, a colleague of mine. Today I'm married to their sister for 36 years. The picture shows Cerbère. The long building on the left side is the train station.

Today we traveled from Barcelona to Port Lligat and to our campground in Esponellà (223 km). In Portlligat Salvator Dali had a house. We wanted to see that. But because it was raining in the morning we went shopping too long and arrived
in Portlligat when the sun was going to set. My picture shows Portlligat and maybe you can recognize the sculpture on Salvator Dali's house.
February 23, 2017
Today we visited Gaudi's Guell Park in Barcelona. When I was here 45 years ago this park made a deep impression on me. Today I thought that the visit was almost not
worthwhile. What is the difference? Maybe only the absence of the sunlight, since today was a gray day.
February 22, 2017
Today we traveled from L'Ametlla de Mar to Barcelona (155 km). On the way, we visited the city of Tarragona. It has a long history and many ruins of the Roman times. My picture shows the aqueduct called Pont del Diable (Devils Bridge).

Today we traveled from Valencia to L'Ametlla de Mar (226 km). On the way, we saw a big castle on a hill in Sagunto. Since the picture of the castle was not very interesting we did a selfie with the castle, us and our RV.
February 20, 2017
Today we drove south along the coast until Calp (104 km) and back to Valencia. This coast is full of hotels and many foreigners have houses here. The picture shows
the rock of Calp.

Today we visited the city of Valencia in Spain. I was here the first time 45 years ago and during my Ugra time many times to teach seminars, to speak at a color conference and to attend conferences. Valencia is a beautiful, dynamic and clean city.
My picture shows the science and art museums designed by the Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava, who studied in Switzerland and has offices in Zurich and New York.
February 18, 2017

or restaurants today. This one is just next to our campground.
February 14, 2017
Today we traveled from Manilva to Malaga in Spain (134 km). In the afternoon we visited Malaga. In a business street, the Christmas illumination was still in place. Or is it a Mardi Gras illumination?

Today we traveled from Martil in Morocco to Manilva in Spain. For this, we drove to Ceta (45 km), took the ferry to Algeciras (1 hour) and drove to Manilva (40 km). Like this, we are back in Europe. The picture shows the boulevard, which led us
out of Martil.

February 8, 2017
Today we traveled from Tazzarine to Merzouga in Morocco (192 km). We reached the most eastern point of our trip in Morocco. Further east would be dangerous because near the Algerian border sometimes tourists get kidnapped by Islamist militants
and maybe come free for a ransom again. We stopped our RV on a campground just before the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi as my picture shows.
February 7, 2017
Today we traveled from Ouarzazate to Tazzarine in Morocco (172 km). Before we left Ouarzazate we visited the two film studios. It's cheap to produce movies here. Many
well-known movies like Cleopatra, Ben Hur, Gladiator, The little Buddha and much more were shot here. The landscape here fits very well with biblical of historical themes. Then we drove through dessert-like landscapes to Tazzarine. Villages and towns are now
oases as my picture shows of our campground in Tazzarine.
February 6, 2017
Today we traveled from Marrakech to Ouarzazate in Morroco (196 km). The way led us through mountains over the Tichka pass with an altitude of 2260 meters. On the way, we saw these women washing clothes.

in the world. The garden is a mixture of plants and artworks as my picture shows.
